Character

This is my character play worksheet

My character is modeled after a homeless man I met back in Wilkes-Barre, PA

Voice: My character has a gruff deep voice. He doesn't say much and keeps conversation to a minimum

Physical appearance: He is in his 60's I think. He always has on a dark brown knee length wool coat. It has tattered edges and stains all over. He wears gray snow boots, the kind stuffed with bulging cotton and nylon on the outside. He is a large man with a fluffy white and gray beard that goes down to his chest. He has white/gray hair and a slightly large round nose. He always sits on a park bench with his legs crossed at the knee. There are usually pigeons around him and he carries a crumpled brown paper bag, the contents of which I have no idea.

Language: He slightly slurs when he talks. He is gruff, but not unpleasant. He won't start a conversation, but he will respond when spoken to. He doesn't beg. He just sits there all day and stares at the birds or trees and watches the people pass by.

Movement: Not much! He turns his head as he watches people or cars pass by. He gently rocks his crossed leg up and down. His hands are in his lap. When he talks to you he looks you right in the eyes. His leg rocking gets a little faster and he will use his hands help express his ideas. Mostly he just sits quietly and watches. He will walk to new park benches throughout the day as the sun changes so he can always be in the shade.

Name I asked him his name once, but I don't remember it. I will call him John Winters. John because I'm afraid someday he will end up a John Doe. And Winter because his bushy white hair and beard remind me of Santa.
