Sign Language with Vicki Bruno Reflections:

Vicki Bruno Reflections:

Sept 18th 2008: Vicki Bruno. I had a great time learning sign language today. Even though I spelled frick frick instead of Fredrick. It was also interesting learning about different aspects of deaf culture. I didn’t realize that they had a culture so distinct from mainstream culture.

Sept 25th 2008: Vicki Bruno. I passed the exam! I can spell my name in sign language. I already forgot most of the numbers though. Today’s class was a little more difficult than last week. We covered a lot more material and didn’t get any handouts to help learn itL

Oct 2nd 2008: We met at Andrea Kristina’s today. We learned words like coffee, cake, cookie and milk. Again, we didn’t get handouts so I already forgot a lot of it. There were just three of us so it went really fast.

Oct 16th 2008: We finally got our handouts and played sign language bingo! I won a box of tissue. Now I can go over the handouts and see if I can remember any of it.
